Taylorsville House Memory Care held a ceremony on Wednesday, Nov. 10 to honor their residents and staff members who served in the armed forces.
The Veterans Day event was attended by the Town of Taylorsville Mayor, George Holleman, the Alexander Central High School ROTC chapter, and other community members.
“We’re so thankful we could host this event to honor our service members,” said Taylorsville House Activity Director, Heather Smith. “These men are true heroes.”
After the local ROTC Chapter’s presentation of colors, Mayor Holleman spoke to thank the honorees for their service and dedication to the U.S.
Taylorsville House residents Ralph Haigler, Luther Stocks. Lawrence Evans, and Donald Hasenbauer were recognized with a certificate from Patriot Angels. Staff members Kenny Ramirez, and Amos Cromwell were also recognized for their service.
“It’s always important to us that we care for and treat our staff and residents with respect,” said Executive Director, Heather Lackey. “We thought that honoring those who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms was a very respectful thing to do.”
