“Seeing the smiles and joy that I can give someone is the best blessing I can receive”
Heather Smith, our current Life Enrichment Coordinator, has been with us for three years. Her willingness to help is apparent through her various roles at Taylorsville House.
When Heather started working at Taylorsville House, she began as a Dietary Aide and then transitioned to Housekeeping. After spending time in that department, she moved into her current role and helps when needed as a PCA.
At 43 years old, she has worked in healthcare for many years and still finds joy every day when she walks through the doors to come to work.
“Seeing the smiles and joy that I can give someone is the best blessing I can receive,” Heather said.
Heather takes great comfort in knowing that Taylorsville House is exactly where she is supposed to be.
“My heart is filled with so much happiness being here with our residents,” Heather said. “I feel that God has placed me where I need to be.”
As a proud mom of three kids, one boy and two girls, she calls herself a “down-home country girl.” Heather has a love for the outdoors and her favorite past times include riding horses, going four-wheeling, and camping.
The joy she finds in her personal life spills over into her happiness that the residents and workers get to experience daily. We are so happy that we have Heather here at Taylorsville House.
